Recently, the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province issued a resolution regulating tuition fees for public educational institutions from the 2024-2025 school year, effective from August 1st. Accordingly, the province will reduce tuition fees by 50% for students at all levels compared to last year. Tuition fees will be collected based on the number of months of study, but not exceeding 9 months per school year.

Specifically, in urban areas including wards of Vinh Yen city and Phuc Yen city, tuition fees for all levels of education range from 80,000 to 180,000 VND per student per month.

In rural areas, including communes and towns that are not mountainous ethnic minority regions, tuition fees at all levels of education range from 60,000 to 100,000 VND per student per month.

In ethnic minority and mountainous regions, tuition fees at all levels of education range from 30,000 to 60,000 VND per student per month.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council also passed a resolution stipulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education from the 2024-2025 school year and subsequent school years in the city.

Compared to last year, the new tuition fees have decreased by approximately 100,000 - 240,000 VND/month depending on the grade level, which is equivalent to the fees for the 2021-2022 school year.

Group 1: Students studying at schools in Thu Duc City and districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, and Binh Tan.

Group 2: Students attending schools in the districts of Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be, and Can Gio.

Five-year-old preschool children will be exempt from tuition fees starting from the 2024-2025 school year. Secondary school students will be exempt from tuition fees starting from the 2025-2026 school year. For online learning, tuition fees will be 50% of the tuition fees charged by public educational institutions.

The People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province also passed a resolution to support tuition fees for children in nurseries and kindergartens, students in public and private high schools, and students enrolled in continuing education programs.

Specifically, starting from the 2024-2025 school year, 3- and 4-year-old children in nurseries and kindergartens, and high school students will receive 100% support for public school tuition fees as stipulated by the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for each educational level.

Tuition fee support will be provided for the actual number of months of study at the schools (not exceeding 9 months per academic year). Regarding the form of support, the provincial budget will directly allocate funds to public educational institutions and continuing education centers to implement this support policy.

For private educational institutions, the budget is allocated directly to parents or guardians of children in nurseries, kindergartens (3 and 4 years old), and high school students.

Long An province also announced tuition fees from the 2024-2025 school year for public preschools, primary and secondary schools, and continuing education institutions that are not yet self-sufficient in covering their operating expenses.

Accordingly, for the next school year, the province will reduce tuition fees by 50% for preschool children under 5 years old attending public preschools and waive 100% of tuition fees for secondary school students in public schools throughout the province.

From the 2025-2026 school year onwards, Long An province will waive 100% of tuition fees for preschool children under 5 years old attending public preschools in the province.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Da Nang continues its decision to waive tuition fees for students from preschool to high school.

Specifically, Da Nang will provide 100% tuition fee support for public preschool and primary/secondary education for 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year. Simultaneously, it will provide 100% tuition fee support for students studying high school general education and vocational education programs in public and private vocational education institutions (maximum 9 months/school year). The total estimated cost is approximately over 108.1 billion VND.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Hai Phong City will continue to apply the policy of completely waiving tuition fees for students at all levels, from preschool, primary, secondary, and high school, within the city. The tuition fee waiver will be funded from the local budget. Each student will be exempt from tuition fees for 9 months per school year. Last year, the city also spent over 400 billion VND from its budget to completely waive tuition fees for students at all levels.
