Specifically, the average coffee price in Dak Lak and Gia Lai reached 120,000 VND/kg, down 7,200 VND/kg and 7,000 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session. The continuous decline in coffee and pepper prices on April 8, 2025 reflects the pressure from the international market and domestic consumption demand. The reason may come from the abundant supply, combined with the volatility of the export market. For farmers, this is a big challenge when profits are significantly narrowed.
However, the slight increase in the USD/VND exchange rate may bring opportunities for export enterprises, helping to increase competitiveness in the international market. This also shows the relative stability of the macro economy, although agricultural products are facing difficulties.
Coffee prices today, April 8, 2025, continue to maintain a downward trend, significantly affecting the domestic agricultural market. Consumers can benefit from low prices, but producers need to have a long-term strategy to adapt to market fluctuations. Closely monitoring economic indicators, especially the USD/VND exchange rate, will help businesses take advantage of opportunities and minimize risks in the coming time.

News, forecast for coffee prices tomorrow April 9, 2025, the decline continues
It is forecasted that domestic coffee prices on April 9, 2025 will continue to decrease sharply, possibly losing another 7,200 - 8,000 VND/kg, down to about 118,000 - 120,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Dak Lak and Dak Nong, prices may drop to 120,000 VND/kg, down 7,200 VND. Gia Lai is similar, with an expected price of 120,000 VND/kg, down 7,000 VND. Lam Dong may drop to 118,000 VND/kg, down 8,000 VND. In the world, Robusta and Arabica coffee prices may fluctuate, but in general, they are still under downward pressure.
Why are prices falling like this? There are two main reasons that everyone can understand. First, big countries like Brazil and Vietnam have more coffee to sell, just like when there is too much in the market, prices will fall. Second, the US is threatening to increase tariffs on imported goods, making people nervous and not want to buy more coffee. Although Vietnamese coffee has not yet been taxed by the US (still at 0%), if the US imposes a 46% tax as predicted, Vietnamese coffee will have a hard time competing with Brazil or Colombia, because they are only taxed at 10%. In addition, buyers in the US and Europe are buying less, causing prices to fall even further.
