For the first time, familiar songs by musician Thanh Tung are presented in Classical Crossover style with a symphony orchestra and electronic band, bringing many new things.

The three main singers appearing in the music night are People's Artist Thanh Lam , Nguyen Ngoc Anh, and Lan Nha.

Thanh Tung's music in the symphony space makes many people think of a vast, open garden, sacred yet indescribably intimate.

Thanh Lam sang 3 songs that made her name: You and I, Purple Flowers Outside the Yard, and Drops of Sunshine on the Steps . The diva was one of the people who left a deep impression with a series of compositions by Thanh Tung. She called the late musician her teacher and maintained an extremely close relationship, to the point that he gave the female artist the privilege to freely perform his music.

People's Artist Thanh Lam performs famous songs by musician Thanh Tung.

The only time he got angry was when Thanh Lam arbitrarily changed the pronoun "you-me" to "you-me", making the song " You and I " "flat". As soon as he heard his student sing, Thanh Tung ran over and scolded: "If you sing like that, you'll kill me". That was a big lesson that Thanh Lam still haunts every time she recalls it.

I don't know if there was some other intention or if Thanh Lam's singing was less painful when she harmonized with the massive orchestra. It could also be that the combination with Tran Manh Hung as Music Director made Thanh Lam find harmony and comfort in the concert to honor her teacher.

Another interesting thing comes from Lan Nha, a male voice that is considered “clean” and ranks high in the music market. He sang Vinh Biet Mua He, Loi Cu Ta Ve (duet with Nguyen Ngoc Anh) and made people remember him with the songs Loi Chim Do Quyen, Hoa Cuc Vang .

Lan Nha's warm and narrative voice combined with the symphony makes the listener's soul deeply touched by sadness.

Hoa cuc vang is the last song that musician Thanh Tung wrote during his days lying in bed, sadly missing his late wife Pham Thi Minh. Lan Nha seemed to replace the author's feelings, once "transformed" into a sobbing: "Last night I dreamed, I dreamed you came back/ When I was twenty, you were eighteen/ In your heart filled with sunshine, you carried a yellow chrysanthemum/ You gave autumn, autumn, the flower of paradise" ...

In the Thanh Tung Legacy of Love concert, Nguyen Ngoc Anh did not have the opportunity to explore her singing voice. With Dewdrops on the Eyelids and Lonely Star, the female singer from Quang Ninh only sang at a moderate level.

Perhaps we should give a lot of praise to Music Director Tran Manh Hung. He arranged a magnificent musical space on stage with more than 70 talented artists and modern sounds of the Sun Symphony Orchestra and Son Thach electronic band.

For the first time, familiar songs by musician Thanh Tung are performed in a classical style combined with a symphony orchestra and an electronic band.

Interspersed between the performances are medleys of Thanh Tung's familiar songs such as: Rain, Borderless Love, When I Die, Bury Me with a Guitar .

Tran Manh Hung's creative and resonant scores left audiences in awe when listening to Mot Alone (Orchestra with solo cello) and the soundtrack to the film The Upside Down Card .

Counting leaves in the yard (Luong Khanh Nhi solo piano) brings interesting emotions, Trai tim khong duyen - solo saxophone also creates unforgettable touches.

However, overall, the music night still had some regrets because it presented many "side dishes", instead of devoting more space to the ensembles and refining the vocals to "elevate" the artistic quality.

Ms. Bach Duong - the youngest daughter of musician Thanh Tung expressed her love for her father not only with the usual feelings of a child but also with lifelong admiration and idolization. The musician's loyalty and sacrifice for his wife who died early made his children respect and love their father more. And she hopes that the audience will see a greater, more complete and expanded love in Thanh Tung's love, so she named the music night Thanh Tung Legacy of love .

Thanh Tung Legacy of Love will have its second performance at 8pm on January 12, 2025 at Ho Guom Theater. The book with the same name as the show is expected to be published in 2025.
