On the evening of January 15, the 27th Green Wave Awards Ceremony - 2024 took place at Nguyen Du Stadium (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), gathering hundreds of artists.
HIEUTHUHAI sets a record
This year, as expected, artists from the two TV shows Anh trai say hi and Anh trai vu ngan cong gai won most of the categories.
Rapper HIEUTHUHAI became the first artist to win both Favorite Male Singer/Rapper and Male Singer/Rapper of the Year.
Notably, he overwhelmingly won the Male Singer/Rapper of the Year category with 44.2% of the votes from the nearly 250-member panel, even though this year the category had 6 nominees including Son Tung M-TP.
Duong Domic was the Outstanding New Face and Quang Hung MasterD won the Breakthrough Singer award.
The performance Trong Com and the Talents attracted attention when sweeping the categories. Specifically, the performance Trong Com won the Outstanding Collaboration award, and the producer pair Kriss Ngo and Touliver won the Sound Mixing award.
SlimV - music producer of Anh trai vu ngan cong gai - is Music Producer of the Year with 67.4% of the votes. "Talented" Soobin was named in the Album of the Year category.
The results of some categories are not difficult to predict such as: Song of the year belongs to Son Tung M-TP with the song Dung lam trai tim anh dau ; tlinh won Female Singer/Rapper of the year ; Thieu Bao Tram is the most favorite Female Singer/Rapper ; Phenomenal song is awarded to Di giu troi ruc ro by Ngo Lan Huong and MV of the year belongs to Khong ra gi by Truc Nhan - Dinh Ha Uyen Thu.
This year's special award is Program of the Year given to two competitions: Anh trai say hi and Anh trai vu ngan cong gai .
The Achievement Award honored two veteran musicians Duong Thu and Bao Chan for their great contributions to Vietnamese music as previously reported.
Blue Wave as "Messenger of Peace"
In addition to honoring music and artists, the 27th Green Wave Awards continues the tradition of connecting generations of artists and entertaining impressive musical performances.

When the "talents" performed a mash-up of their personal hits and the theme song "Call me by fire" , Duong Domic and the stars of " Anh trai say hi" were excited and dancing.
When the Say Hi Brothers re-enacted their hits, Soobin, Cuong Seven, Kay Tran... also "rocked" enthusiastically.

When Rhyder spoke, Soobin's action of wiping sweat from the 10X rapper's cheek was warmly applauded by 3,000 spectators at Nguyen Du Stadium.

When receiving the award for Most Favorite Male Singer/Rapper , HIEUTHUHAI expressed his appreciation for the fact that the Blue Wave Music Awards added the rapper profession to the categories honoring artists for the first time.
"This means a lot to me and other rappers on their journey," he said.
9X also attracted attention when encouraging those who are pursuing their passion: "Sometimes, we feel disappointed, wondering why we have tried to improve ourselves but there are still gossips, people who do not want to see us succeed. Everyone, never give up, believe in yourself. Because those energies and obstacles only appear when we are on the right path."
Regarding the music performance, the highlight of the event belonged to the trio Phuong My Chi, Tieu Minh Phung and Huynh Lap with the mash-up Mien Tay wrapped combining pop music, vọng cổ and rap while gathering dozens of keywords and sayings that are the entertainment trends of 2024.
The hit performances are just eye-catching and pleasing to the ears; the crossover hit performances, the "specialty" of Blue Wave , are not really impressive.
