The program was organized by the Ministry of Public Security to recognize and honor the communal police force - those who have always silently devoted themselves to the country and the people, successfully completing the task of maintaining security and order, protecting the peace of the people. The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) is a companion unit of the program.

The program was attended by General Secretary To Lam and leaders of the Party, State, ministries and branches, along with nearly 300 representatives of commune and town police and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level of nearly 9,000 communes and towns nationwide.

“I wish you all to always strive and successfully complete your assigned tasks, worthy of being the sword and steel shield protecting the Party, protecting the regime and the people right from the grassroots, right from the root of all problems,” General Secretary To Lam said at the event.

During the nearly 5-year journey of implementing the Commune Police Regulation with more than 55,000 officers sent to communes and towns, the grassroots police force has proactively grasped the local security and order situation, promptly listened, helped people create livelihoods, build a healthy cultural life, prevent crime, effectively implemented social security policies to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. As a result, in 2024, more than 16,800 "zero-dong" houses were handed over to people across the country.

Also during the historic Yagi storm, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized more than 150,000 officers and soldiers day and night to help people, bravely and proactively participating in search and rescue, helping stabilize people's lives and minimizing damage to people and property.

More than 105 million citizen information nationwide has been collected at lightning speed, more than 102.5 million CCCD & CC cards have been issued, of which 87.7 million new chip-embedded CCCDs have been issued thanks to the tireless efforts of the police force, regardless of the sun and rain, going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person to complete procedures to issue CCCD for the elderly, the disabled and those with difficulty moving in the area.

In coordination with commune-level cultural officers and relevant agencies to review, collect and update information on martyrs and their relatives in the area, the grassroots police force collected more than 618,000 pieces of martyr information, including 302,000 unidentified martyrs, and many families were overwhelmed with joy after a long wait.

Through simple everyday stories and sincere moments, the program depicts the image of commune police officers who have overcome many difficulties and challenges to be able to stick with the people, bond with the people, and accompany the people. They are the nucleus that spreads good things like sunflowers facing the sun.
