This contest is considered to be the largest in scale with 50 provinces and cities and agencies and units participating.

The number of authors participating in the contest is also the largest with more than 300 professional and non-professional authors, including authors specializing in creating propaganda paintings, many times winning high prizes at national propaganda painting creation competitions such as Tran Duy Truc, Ha Huy Chuong, Nguyen Cong Quang, Do Trung Kien, Pham Binh Dinh, Nguyen Van Cong, Pham Minh Trang, Nguyen Duy Thanh... At the same time, the number of works participating in the contest is also the largest with 700 works. The propaganda paintings participating in the contest all demonstrate the content and criteria of the contest, in terms of expression such as layout, brushwork, diverse colors, and rich content. Many works participating in the contest have a new artistic style, overcoming the old path in creating propaganda paintings.

On behalf of the Awarding Council, artist Nguyen Nghia Phuong, Chairman of the Graphic Arts Council (Vietnam Fine Arts Association), Vice Principal of Vietnam University of Fine Arts, assessed that the 70 propaganda paintings and logos selected for display at the exhibition showed the high quality of the competition.

In terms of content, these works all adhere to the rules of the contest, focusing on the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. However, there are also topics affirming the thousand-year-old cultural tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi, demonstrating new achievements in the development process of the Capital over the past 70 years, especially in recent times.
