With the aim of contributing to building an ASEAN Community that is people-centered and moving towards a common identity, what would you say about the development of ASEAN cultural cooperation in recent years?
Since its inception, ASEAN has focused on strengthening cultural exchange activities and enhancing the understanding of cultures within ASEAN and beyond.
In practice, ASEAN's cultural and artistic activities are very vibrant and diverse in multilateral cooperation mechanisms such as the Asean Ministerial Conference on Artistic Culture (AMCA), Senior Officials for Cultural Arts of Asean (SOMCA), the Asean Commission on Information Culture (COCI) and the Asean Subcommittee on Culture (SCC).
In recent years, ASEAN has achieved many achievements in cultural cooperation through a variety of tangible, effective and focused activities.
In addition to intra-bloc cooperation, collaboration between ASEAN and a number of dialogue countries is an imperative that is highly valued. Huey, ASEAN-South Korea Music Committee, Asian Traditional Orchestra (ASEAN and South Korea have been operating continuously since 2009), the ASEAN-Japan Cooperation Network of Arts Cultural Training Schools project, the digital archiving project for cultural heritage in ASEAN-Japan cooperation, the ASEAN-China CAEXPO exhibition with a mission to strengthen friendship between China and ASEAN. .
As you can see, the results of cultural cooperation contributed to building ASEAN Community as a spiritual base for 10 member countries, helping people connect with each other more closely, contributing to the development of an increasingly tangible ASEAN Community that adheres to international, regional and national priorities.
In your opinion, what factors have shaped the outcome of this collaboration?
I think one of the factors that has had a strong influence on ASEAN's cultural development is the root of its cultural identity.
ASEAN is known as a culturally diverse, rich region on the worldTherefore, ASEAN's outstanding value after 57 years of formation and effort is the community spirit that makes up its identity Unity in Diversity.
More than half a century of partnership has brought ASEAN members closer together, with initial differences gradually giving way to dialogue, cooperation, understanding and sharing.
In fact, every time we travel abroad, we get a better sense of ASEAN's cultural identity and community spirit. For example, in the framework of World Expo 2020 Dubai, ASEAN member countries jointly celebrated ASEAN Day with a series of events including opening ceremonies and film screenings showcasing the diversity of the region.
At multilateral conferences and forums, ASEAN people are always drawn together by proximity and a common voice. It is mutual understanding, connections and sharing that often contribute to creating tangible results in the field of cultural cooperation between ASEAN countries.

What directions do ASEAN countries have in cultural cooperation to overcome the challenges of maintaining efficiency, attractiveness and cohesion among people in the region further?
In the context of a changing world and region, activities in ASCC need to be constantly geared towards implementing the mission of raising people's awareness of ASEAN identity aimed at promoting a culture of tolerance, understanding and mutual respect.
