(PLVN) - A flock of rare storks suddenly returned to live and feed in the buffer zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Heritage after many years of absence.

On April 14, Mr. Phan Thanh Luan, Vice Chairman of Phong Nha Town People's Committee, said that a flock of rare storks had appeared to live and take shelter in Cu Lac 2 residential group, Phong Nha town.

This flock of storks, about 3 to 4 hundred, migrates in groups to take shelter and forage around the buffer zone of the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. Mr. Dinh Huy Tri, Deputy Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, added: Since the beginning of the year, there have been many flocks of storks appearing around the Heritage buffer zone. However, the most have been in the last 4 days, in the morning they fly away, in the evening they fly back, covering the entire forest.
