On the morning of April 29, the People's Committee of Hoai Hao Ward (Hoai Nhon Town) held a ceremony to receive the Provincial Monument Ranking Certificate for the "Memorial Place for Youth Volunteer Martyrs of Binh Dinh Province" ( photo ).

During the resistance war against the US, the Youth Volunteer Force (YV) of Binh Dinh province was stationed at Hon Den Mountain (now Hoi Phu Quarter, Hoai Hao Ward). During the Tet Offensive and Uprising in 1968, on February 11, the position of the Youth Volunteer Force was discovered by the enemy. The enemy used bombers and shells, killing 13 leaders of the Youth Volunteer Force and injuring 1 soldier. Afterwards, the martyrs were gathered by their comrades and buried right in the bombed area.

After the country's reunification, some martyrs' remains were brought back to their hometowns by their families, the rest were gathered at the Hoai Hao Ward Martyrs' Cemetery. In order to remember and pay tribute to that great sacrifice, in 2019, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers coordinated with the People's Committee of Hoai Nhon Town to build two memorial works in Hoai Hao Ward: the Memorial Stele at Hon Den Mountain and the Binh Dinh Province Youth Volunteers' Memorial in Hoi Phu Village.

On November 1, 2023, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province issued Decision No. 4025/QD-UBND ranking the "Binh Dinh Province Youth Volunteers' Memorial Site" as a provincial-level historical site. This is an important "red address", contributing to educating the younger generation about patriotism and revolutionary ideals.

At the ceremony, delegates offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs of the Youth Volunteer Force of Binh Dinh province. On this occasion, Vinh Nguyen Honey Company also presented 5 gifts to former Youth Volunteer Force soldiers in difficult circumstances, expressing their deep gratitude to the previous generation.
