The paintings not only highlight the history of formation and the heroic image of Canh Duong fighting village, but also vividly depict the daily life and unique cultural values of the fishing village. Many paintings with a modern and youthful style have also been newly painted to serve the check-in needs of tourists.

According to Decision No. 3482/QD-UBND dated December 6, 2023 of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, the project to complete technical infrastructure and develop a cultural tourism village model is implemented from the central budget, under the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021-2025.

In Canh Duong alone, in addition to the mural painting category (30 new paintings with a total area of 470m², restoration of 32 old paintings with an area of 500m², installation of 10 sets of lighting), the project also includes items such as construction of roads, installation of new lighting systems and other auxiliary works.

Not only is it a unique destination for visitors to admire mural art in the middle of an ancient coastal village, Canh Duong also plays an important role in the series of tours to the North of Quang Binh province.
