As a key project located at the northern gateway of the province, up to now, the overall progress of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project has reached about 86%, gradually moving towards completing important construction milestones. "To get closer to the goal of completing oil burning and synchronizing Unit 1 before September 2, 2025, this is a key time, the number of engineers and workers mobilized to participate in the project is on average about 3,500 people per day with 150 machines and equipment", said Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board of Quang Trach Power Center.

With favorable weather, the construction site of Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant is busier than ever. "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts" to speed up progress, while ensuring labor safety is always a matter of concern. Up to now, the project has achieved nearly 10 million safe working hours, creating a foundation for a breakthrough, accelerating to the finish line on schedule, contributing to gradually making Quang Binh an energy center of the region and the whole country.

Present at the construction site of the North-South Expressway Project in the Eastern Region, Phase 2021-2025, through Quang Binh, in the last days of April, we witnessed an extremely urgent atmosphere of labor competition. Currently, many sections and routes have been basically completed, contractors are urgently completing intersections, slopes, residential access roads, protective fences, hard median strips, anti-glare strips...

To open the main route on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction, contractors have been training to add more manpower, divide into many teams, sprint and speed up construction. The shape of the highway running through the sunny and windy land of Quang Binh is almost complete, beautiful like a painting.

Director of the Department of Construction Hoang Dang Cuong said that recently, the department has proactively worked with investors, construction units and localities to focus on resolving problems at locations such as underpasses, drainage systems, technical infrastructure systems on the route, etc., contributing to bringing some project items to completion on schedule.

In particular, on April 19, the T2 Passenger Terminal Project, Dong Hoi Airport was started as planned. Nurtured since the 2018 Quang Binh Investment Promotion Conference, after a long journey of efforts, the dream has come true when Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) invested in the project "Construction of T2 Passenger Terminal and expansion of aircraft parking lot - Dong Hoi Airport" with a total capital of over 1,800 billion VND. Up to this point, the items of the project are on schedule, contributing to gradually realizing the aspiration to rise up, affirming the image of a dynamic, integrated and developing Quang Binh.

And after much effort, the final "bottlenecks" of the Project Component 1 - Coastal Road are being focused on untangling. Currently, inter-sectoral working groups have been established with the goal of completing all site clearance work in May and ensuring the project is completed by the end of 2025. These days, construction units are focusing all their efforts to speed up efficiency. With the motto of handing over the site to where the construction is organized, many items such as bridges, drainage works, and roadbeds are basically completed. The Government will also prioritize capital to speed up the project's progress, contributing to the completion of the vital traffic route connecting the regions, awakening the potential of Quang Binh sea and in the region.

In parallel, the Component 2 Project - Nhat Le Bridge 3 has revealed its graceful and strong shape on the Nhat Le River. Not only is it a new symbol of a dynamic lifestyle, the construction progress of the project is also a bright spot when it is expected to be completed 1 year early. Taking advantage of favorable weather, contractors are mobilizing maximum human resources, machinery, and construction to strive to complete the project as soon as possible to practically welcome the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Affirming the urgent need to expand the airport and build Passenger Terminal T2, not only solves the infrastructure problem but also opens up opportunities for Quang Binh to make a strong breakthrough, take the lead in the investment wave and develop sustainably, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang pledged that the province will accompany ACV, give strong direction to remove all difficulties, create the most favorable conditions for the project to be implemented and completed on schedule, achieving the highest quality.

With a 3-year implementation period, both projects are being resourced and accelerated to soon “share the burden” for traffic routes in the area. Nearly 200 officers, engineers, workers and hundreds of machines and equipment are divided into many groups to carry out urgent and simultaneous construction.

“The whole country is filled with excitement for the victory/We want to fly up and admire the majestic mountains and rivers…” , is how we feel when we are present at the key projects in this historic month of April. Projects with strategic vision, aspiration to connect, promote infrastructure development, economy, tourism and people’s lives, opening a new chapter on the integration journey, bringing Quang Binh confidently to the future.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong emphasized that in order to realize the province's growth target of over 8% in 2025, promoting investment in key projects is a key task. In recent times, the province has strengthened its direction, accompanied, and removed many difficulties and obstacles in key projects. The tasks of departments, branches, and localities are linked to specific time frames, and if they are not guaranteed, they will be publicly criticized. For contractors, if they are behind schedule and do not meet quality standards, the province will resolutely handle them strictly. All for the purpose of facilitating projects to be quickly completed and put into use, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
