According to the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Transport and Agricultural Works, although the project has been basically completed, the contractor is completing some sub-items, so the road will only be open to traffic for 2 days (April 30 and May 1), then it will be closed to complete some sub-items of the road. The project is expected to be put into use before June this year.

Dong Viet Bridge and the approach road are invested by the Provincial Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works. The total investment is nearly 1.5 trillion VND from the provincial budget and local government bonds. The joint venture of Thuan An Construction and Trade Development Joint Stock Company, Trung Chinh Construction and Trade Limited Company, and 168 Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company is constructing.

The project consists of a bridge and a road. Specifically, Dong Viet Bridge is built across the Thuong River with a length of more than 811 m, a bridge surface of 23.5 m wide. This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in the province. The approach roads on both sides of the bridge are built according to the scale of a class II plain road, nearly 7 km long, with a roadbed width of 22 m and a road surface of 21.5 m.

The completion of Dong Viet Bridge and the approach road will expand development space, contribute to attracting investment, and promote socio-economic development between the two provinces of Bac Giang, Hai Duong and other provinces in the region.
