(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of April 10, the Lam Ha District Military Service Council held a summary of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025 and deploying directions and tasks for 2026.

Under the close leadership and direction of the standing agency of the Provincial Military Service Council and local Party committees and authorities, the 2025 military recruitment work of Lam Ha district was carried out synchronously and closely; coordinating with departments, branches and organizations to well implement the steps in the military recruitment process to ensure democracy, publicity, fairness, and compliance with the law, creating high consensus among the people.

Accordingly, the Lam Ha District Military Service Council has implemented the correct procedures, following the policy of "rounding the process", making breakthroughs in improving political quality and health. In addition, promptly resolving problems during the implementation process; directing and organizing the good implementation of military rear policies.

The District Military Command proactively coordinates with relevant departments and branches to regularly provide job counseling for demobilized soldiers, creating trust among local people.

At the same time, localities have well implemented democratic and public steps, ensuring social justice in selecting and calling citizens to join the army, creating high consensus and unity among the masses; doing well in policy work, visiting young people and families whose children are leaving for military service.

In 2025, Lam Ha district will have 166 new recruits joining the army; of which, 134 young people will perform military service (13 citizens with university and college degrees), 3 party members are eligible to join the army and 32 young people will perform police service.

In addition to the achieved results, the Lam Ha District Military Service Council frankly pointed out the shortcomings that still exist in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army such as: The work of directing and coordinating the propaganda of the Law on Military Service and Decree No. 37 of the Government is not regular.

The registration, re-examination, and management of citizens who have moved their household registration out of the locality, citizens who have gotten married, citizens who have finished university or college and are working in cities but have not returned to their locality, citizens of military age who are ready to join the army and go to work far away, and citizens who have been recruited for military service and have received military service orders from some communes and towns have not been strictly managed.

Arranging and creating jobs for party members returning to their localities after being discharged from the army still faces difficulties due to the need to employ cadres. The work of creating resources to train and recruit party members to join the army in some Party committees and localities still faces many difficulties.

Regarding the 2025 Military Camp, although there have been many changes, some sub-camps did not follow the instructions of the Camp Steering Committee in decorating, the number of campers participating in games was still lacking, and activities between campers and new recruits were limited.

In order to effectively carry out the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army and organizing military camps and military handover ceremonies in 2026, the Lam Ha District Military Service Council has proposed a number of solutions and tasks to be implemented in the coming time.

On this occasion, Lam Ha District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 13 collectives, 17 individuals, and 3 families with outstanding achievements in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.
