Of which, the State Treasury called for bids at 5 terms including: 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 years, but the winning bonds were mainly concentrated at the 10-year term, with a proportion of up to 82% of the total winning volume.
Government bond mobilization interest rates in July tended to increase slightly compared to the end of June, in which the 10-year term increased by 0.02%, the 15-year term increased by 0.1%, and the 5-year term increased by 0.09%. The winning interest rates at the end of July for the 5-year, 10-year, 15-year and 30-year terms were: 1.94%, 2.76%, 2.96%, 2.98% and 3.10%, respectively.
In the secondary market, the listed value of Government bonds as of July 31, 2024 reached VND 2,101,301 billion, up 1.28% compared to the previous month. The total transaction value of Government bonds in July reached VND 262,765 billion, the average transaction value per session reached VND 11,425 billion/session, down 19.94% compared to June. Of which, the Outright transaction value accounted for 55.27%, the Repos transaction value accounted for 44.73% of the total transaction value of the whole market. The most traded terms in July were 10-15 years, 10 years, and 5-7 years, with the proportions to the total transaction value of the whole market being 20.91%; 17.35% and 14.98%, respectively. In July, the average trading yield of Government bonds issued by the State Treasury decreased the most in the 3-5 year and 2 year terms, currently at an average of about 1.49% and 1.196%; the highest increase was in the 7-10 year and 15 year terms, currently at an average yield of about 2.872% and 2.88%, respectively.
Regarding the structure of investors participating in the market, the commercial banking sector still has a large market share, with the proportion of Outright and Repos transaction value compared to the whole market being 58.21% and 92% respectively.
The proportion of foreign investors' transaction value in July accounted for 1.7% of the total transaction value of the whole market, with net selling value of VND 559 billion, down 0.5% compared to June.
