Ha Giang promotes its position as Asia's leading destination

On April 12, in Hanoi, Ha Giang province, held a forum to promote tourism in Ha Giang - Asia's leading regional cultural destination. The forum not only introduced and promoted the image of Ha Giang people and tourism to many domestic and international friends, but also received valid opinions from leading experts, thereby helping Ha Giang further promote the traditional cultural values, potentials and strengths of the province to develop tourism systematically and sustainably, bringing more jobs and increasing income for local people.

With the theme “Ha Giang - Asia's leading regional cultural destination”, this is the purpose of the forum, to introduce and promote the image of Ha Giang land and people with majestic and poetic natural landscapes, unique customs and practices, typical cultural products of indigenous peoples, thereby attracting the attention of domestic and international tourists, expanding cooperation opportunities between Ha Giang province and other localities in the country and with countries around the world, aiming to build Ha Giang into an attractive tourist destination, sustainable development associated with cultural and environmental conservation.

At the forum, the Department of Tourism and the Vietnam Tourism Association assessed that Ha Giang is becoming one of the prominent destinations, favored by international and domestic visitors thanks to its unique landscape and strong cultural identity. The Department proposed that the province should invest more in tourism infrastructure, improve service quality, and at the same time build cultural tourism products and focus on building a separate brand for Ha Giang. Asia's leading destination poses a huge challenge for a natural tourist destination, especially a big challenge for Ha Giang, how to make culture a product to sell to tourists.

Representatives of the Department of Performing Arts highly appreciated the efforts of Ha Giang province in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values. According to the Department, Ha Giang is not only a land of majestic landscapes, but also a living cultural treasure that needs to be exploited in the right direction for sustainable tourism development. Combining ethnic art performances in community tours to preserve and create added value for Ha Giang tourism.
