6 featured activities

First, deploy scientific and technological advances and agricultural extension work.

In the past year, the Cooperative coordinated with the Economic Department of Tay Ho District and the Hanoi City Cooperative Union to organize 4 training courses to introduce new points of the 2023 revised Law on Cooperatives, techniques for growing flowers and ornamental plants using new generation pesticides for cooperative members; food hygiene and safety for consumers in the district with 195 participants.

At the same time, in coordination with the Rural Development Department and the District Economic Department, 4 training courses on organizing cooperatives and developing effective production and business plans were organized with the participation of 250 members.

In addition, we also coordinate with the ward's radio announcer to broadcast the news of the Agricultural Extension Center. Through learning, members of the cooperative have applied science and technology into practice, contributing significantly to promoting agricultural economy and improving the economic life of cooperative members' households.

These activities have helped producers see the importance of branding in developing and preserving traditional craft villages, economic efficiency in market competition, so they can confidently invest, change approaches to new farming methods, apply science and technology into production, increase crop productivity, ensure product quality in agricultural economic development, attract local labor to gradually stabilize their lives.

Through study, cooperative members have put science and technology into practice, contributing significantly to promoting agricultural economy and improving the economic life of cooperative members' households.

Second on plant protection work.

The Board of Directors, Supervisors, and Accountants of the Cooperative maintain a schedule of visiting the field to promptly grasp the situation of pests and diseases, register for training programs to transfer science and technology with the Economic Department of Tay Ho District on flower care techniques, techniques for using new generation pesticides, measures to detect, prevent, and treat pests and diseases. At the same time, coordinate to organize training conferences for members of the Cooperative.

Maintain 28 pesticide shell storage locations to ensure environmental hygiene. The cooperative has signed a contract for handling pesticide shells and packaging with Green Industrial Environment Company Limited. Build a pesticide shell storage warehouse in the firewood stump area.

Third, about dredging services for drainage canals.

The Cooperative implements the project of Building technical infrastructure for peach planting in Nhat Tan Ward. The Nhat Tan General Agricultural Service Cooperative has established a monitoring team to coordinate with the Ward People's Committee and the Project Management Board to implement the project of Building technical infrastructure for peach planting in Nhat Tan Ward. Propaganda and mobilization of Cooperative members in the project implementation.

With a sense of responsibility and years of experience, before the rainy season, the Cooperative organized the repair and dredging of the entire submerged ditch system in the yard area, invested in dredging and placing culverts to solve the drainage situation in the Tan Boi route 4 area, and inspected and operated the flow by all means to reduce damage to the Cooperative members.

Fourth, security service.

In the past year, implementing the direction of production and business services of the Cooperative approved by the Congress, the Cooperative continued to sign contracts with some members of the Cooperative Production Cluster No. 4 to protect the entire production land area of ​​the Cooperative members in the yard area, the remuneration regime is implemented according to the contractual commitment between the Cooperative and the protection team.

The security team has tried to promote the sense of responsibility to protect crops and assets for cooperative members as well as the collective.

Fifth, invest in renovating the power grid system in the yard area with a total cost of over 500 million VND.

Affirming Nhat Tan peach brand

The Cooperative is currently managing 90 hectares of agricultural land, of which about 70 hectares are Nhat Tan peach growing land with about 780 participating households.

Most of the Nhat Tan peach growing area is concentrated in the Red River area. For a long time, Nhat Tan peach blossom (Nhat Tan ward, Tay Ho district) has been a cultural symbol of Hanoi during every Tet holiday. The people here still stick to their traditional profession - flower growing - to make Nhat Tan a famous flower village. Nhat Tan peach blossom is considered the "soul of Tet".

This year, storm No. 3 caused damage to 46% of the total area, including 31.3 hectares of peach trees; 10 hectares of cut flowers; 0.5 hectares of kumquat trees; estimated value of 45 billion VND. Currently, there are 620 households participating in flower growing, of which 580 households suffered damage due to the impact of storm No. 3. However, with the skillful hands and diligent care of the people, the peach trees with bright pink color and the kumquat trees with bright yellow color have awakened, showing off their bright colors, bringing a fresh and brilliant beauty to Nhat Tan craft village.

During its operation, Nhat Tan Nhat Tan General Agricultural Service Cooperative has always received the attention, direction and facilitation of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Tay Ho District; Nhat Tan Ward Party Committee - People's Committee, and the coordination and assistance of specialized departments and offices of Tay Ho District in supporting the organization of training courses to transfer scientific advances, creating favorable conditions for cooperative members to produce and consume products.

At the same time, the staff and members of the Cooperative always have high solidarity and unity in operating activities; have an abundant source of young labor, always diligent and creative, taking the lead in exploiting the potential strengths of traditional peach blossom trees. Cooperative members are always proactive and active in shifting the crop structure, closely following the market, valuing the reputation and quality of traditional peach blossom products. From there, develop service models, eco-tourism, gradually creating landscapes for the local flower growing area.

As a result, up to now, the Cooperative has three products: Peach blossom, peach branch, and peach bonsai which have been evaluated, classified and recognized as 4-star OCOP products by the Hanoi People's Committee.

The development of OCOP products of Nhat Tan peach blossoms is an affirmation of the brand of the famous traditional peach blossom growing village of the whole country and is bringing high economic value, helping Nhat Tan people develop the economy.
