On January 17, Hanoi City held a ceremony to commend and reward Hanoi athletes for their outstanding achievements at the 2024 Southeast Asian Football Championship - ASEAN Cup, to honor the efforts and contributions of Hanoi Club and Hanoi Police players to the emotional and proud journey of Vietnamese football.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

At the ASEAN Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team participated with a total of 26 members, including 10 athletes from Hanoi city: Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Nguyen Hai Long, Pham Xuan Manh, Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi Club) and Nguyen Quang Hai, Vu Van Thanh, Filip Nguyen, Le Pham Thanh Long, Bui Hoang Viet Anh (Hanoi Police Club) who contributed significantly to helping the Vietnamese team win the championship deservedly and convincingly.
The Hanoi People's Committee awarded each Hanoi player 50 million VND. In addition, Hanoi also gave a special reward of 2 billion VND to members of the Vietnam team.

Also at the commendation and reward ceremony, T&T Group and SHB Bank announced a bonus of up to VND4.4 billion for 10 players of Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police FC. Specifically, 7 players Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Nguyen Hai Long, Pham Xuan Manh, Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) and Nguyen Quang Hai, Vu Van Thanh (Hanoi Police FC) each received a bonus of VND500 million.
Three players Filip Nguyen, Le Pham Thanh Long, and Bui Hoang Viet Anh each received a bonus of 300 million VND.

Thus, along with the 2 billion VND awarded by SHB Bank to the Vietnam Team at the award ceremony at VFF right after winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Mr. Hien awarded a total of 6.4 billion VND to Coach Kim Sang-Sik and his team.
In addition, the Chairman of SHB Bank also brought 600 fans and players' relatives on private planes to Bangkok to cheer and give spiritual strength to the Golden Star Warriors in the second leg of the final match against Thailand.
On the journey to the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship, especially in the second leg final match at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok), Hanoi FC players made a strong impression in all 3 goals against the home team Thailand, helping the Vietnamese team win the championship.

Established in 2006, competing from the Third Division, after nearly 2 decades, Hanoi FC has become the most successful football team with 6 V.League championships, 3 National Cups and 5 National Super Cups. But for Mr. Do Quang Hien, the most important thing is that the success of Hanoi FC must always be associated with the success and glory of Vietnamese football.
Vietnamese football has won the SEA Games Gold Medal, the AFF Cup Championship, the U23 Asian Cup Runner-up and many fair matches with the top football teams in the continent such as Iraq, Japan with significant contributions from players from the Hanoi training center such as Quang Hai, Duy Manh, Hung Dung, Thanh Chung... and now the young generation of Quan Van Chuan, Van Truong, Tien Long, Van Tung...
At the club level, not only is Hanoi FC number 1 in Vietnam, it is also the Vietnamese team with the best achievements in the continental arena, having reached the quarter-finals of the AFC Cup 2014, won the Southeast Asian championship and reached the inter-zone final (East Asia) of the AFC Cup 2019. In the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2023/24, Hanoi FC also shocked the Asian media with victories over Urawa Reds (Japan) and Wuhan Three Towns (China).
For businessman Do Quang Hien, success in football in particular or sports in general must be built and developed sustainably from the roots, on the basis of a professional and systematic youth training system. Thanks to this strategy, Hanoi Club's youth football has achieved many successes with 6 national U21 championships, 7 national U19 championships and in the 2024 national U17 championship, the capital team's representative also won the championship.
