Recently, Indonesian Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi, Chairman of the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) Arsjad Rasjid, large Indonesian enterprises such as Japfa Group, Indika Group, Nutricell, Prasetia Dwidharrma and BRI Ventures visited FPT and discussed cooperation opportunities in digital transformation and human resource development.
The two sides had in-depth discussions to expand cooperation in digital transformation, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors and young human resource development.
One of the key proposals is to establish a Joint Working Group with the participation of government representatives, businesses and experts to build a semiconductor ecosystem and promote digital transformation across many sectors in Indonesia.
The delegation also explored opportunities for cooperation with FPT in developing training programs to nurture a young workforce with skills ready for the future. As a pioneering technology corporation in Vietnam, FPT is focusing on developing education to build high-quality human resources for advanced technology fields such as AI and semiconductors, meeting the human resource needs not only for Vietnam but also for the global market.
Sharing at the event, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said that from experience in implementing digital transformation for provinces and cities in Vietnam and businesses on a global scale, FPT is ready to share knowledge and become a strategic partner of Indonesia in creating a digital economy for the people, with the foundation of data, AI, chips and people.

Sharing the same view, Indonesian Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambud expressed his admiration for the determination and efforts of Vietnam in general and FPT in particular in the digital transformation process and this is the spirit that Indonesia needs to promote a comprehensive digital transformation revolution.
“What you are cherishing and working hard to do with all your heart is what Indonesia needs today,” he said, affirming that FPT is the “difference maker” that he wants to accompany in Indonesia’s new digital transformation era.
Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of the Indonesian Business Council (IBC), emphasized the pivotal role of chips in promoting other industries such as electric vehicles and ESG. He expressed his hope that Indonesia can build a chip ecosystem through cooperation with neighboring countries such as Vietnam.
“We are very impressed with what Vietnam and FPT are creating, not only in terms of technology but also in terms of people. We want to cooperate with Vietnam in this field and the establishment of the Joint Working Group is an ideal initiative to realize the above goal,” Mr. Arsjad Rasjid shared.
The visit continues a series of successful collaborations between FPT and its partners in Indonesia. FPT recently signed a framework agreement with KMP Aryadhana, Indonesia’s leading innovation company, to promote the application of advanced technology over the next five years. The group is also deploying advanced AI solutions for Pertamina, Indonesia’s largest oil and gas company.
Since entering the Indonesian market in 2017, FPT has accompanied many large enterprises in their digital transformation journey, from energy, finance - banking to telecommunications.
To date, FPT has more than 200 technology experts working in two large offices in Indonesia, and plans to open a third office this year.
