On August 14, in Khanh Hoa, the working delegation of the 14th Party Congress Document Subcommittee led by Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Standing member of the Subcommittee, Head of the Document Editorial Team Nguyen Xuan Thang worked with the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the results of 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal policy; the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; the work of building and rectifying the Party and the local political system.

According to the report, after 40 years of implementing the Party's renovation policy, Khanh Hoa has always kept up with the pace of the country's renovation, overcoming difficulties and achieving many important results. Socio-economic development programs implemented in the province have gradually become effective, creating a new look for urban and rural areas.

From the beginning of the term (2021 - 2025) to the end of 2023, Khanh Hoa's average GRDP growth reached 8.2%/year; the economic structure shifted towards continuing to increase the proportion of service, industry, and construction sectors and reducing agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors; the growth rate of development investment capital reached 12%/year; the number of poor households decreased by more than 43% compared to 2021...

Khanh Hoa has gradually shifted its economic structure in association with growth model innovation, gradually becoming a growth pole of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions. In particular, the province's GRDP growth in 2022 reached 21.24%, the highest in the country and in 2023 reached 10.35%, ranking 4th in the country. According to the roadmap to 2025, Khanh Hoa province will take the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh out of poverty.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee pays special attention to directing the implementation of the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system, focusing on closely following the reality and orientation of the Central Committee, contributing to raising awareness, consolidating solidarity and unity within the Party and consensus in society. The inspection and supervision work of the Provincial Party Committee has been strengthened and has many innovations, clearly changing from awareness to action, truly promoting the effectiveness of warning, preventing violations, strictly maintaining Party discipline and order.

Recognizing the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province, speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that Khanh Hoa has a strategic geographical position, has Truong Sa island district and many potentials and advantages for development. Khanh Hoa is also the center connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central Coast to other regions in the country and internationally.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province promote the spirit of initiative and creativity, and be determined to well implement Resolution 09-NQ/TW of the 13th Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution No. 55/2022 of the 15th National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province; and the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister.

The province needs to accelerate the economic restructuring process, in which the marine economy is the foundation and tourism is the spearhead industry; strongly develop the fields of seaports, logistics, oil and gas processing industry associated with the digital transformation, green transformation, and energy transformation processes. Focus on investing in three dynamic development areas: Van Phong Bay, Cam Ranh Bay and Nha Trang City; promote improvement of the investment environment, human resource development to attract strategic investors; focus on increasing income and improving people's lives; link socio-economic development with ensuring national defense and security, contributing to firmly protecting the territorial sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Wishing the Provincial Party Committee to continue to promote the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; doing well in political and ideological work; maintaining solidarity and unity within the entire Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang believes that the province will continue to promote its potential, advantages and role as a growth pole in the South Central Coast region. With a proactive spirit and creative efforts, the Party Committee, government and people in the province will achieve many achievements in the new period, successfully realizing the goal of turning Khanh Hoa into a centrally-run city by 2030 and becoming a major maritime economic center of the country, a smart, environmentally friendly, unique urban area, on par with the Asian region by 2050.
