This conference aims to help businesses in the Central Highlands region grasp more information on forecasting the situation, orienting export market demand; updating import standards of the Korean market. Korean businesses will approach and evaluate the production and supply capacity of export businesses in the Central Highlands region as well as grasp the logistics development situation in the localities. Thereby helping the export market expand and more new supply chains are formed, contributing to bringing the strong products of the Central Highlands region in particular and of Vietnam in general further and more sustainably.

The Central Highlands - Lam Dong region, with its great potential in natural resources, temperate climate, friendly people and diverse culture, has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors. In particular, in recent years, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea has grown strongly in many fields, including trade and investment.
Vietnam and Korea have many cultural similarities due to their location in East Asia; both countries have rich and diverse cuisines, with many traditional dishes using rice, vegetables, and typical spices. Korean kimchi and Vietnamese pickles are typical examples of similarities in the way fermented foods are prepared; both have many traditional festivals, customs such as weddings, especially celebrating Tet according to the lunar calendar, and both have long histories in art and literature, including calligraphy, painting, and traditional music.
South Korea is currently Vietnam's third largest trading partner with a bilateral turnover of about 76 billion USD in 2023, Vietnam's third largest export market and Vietnam's second largest import market. In the first 5 months of 2024, the total import-export turnover of the two countries reached 32 billion USD, an increase of 8.9% over the same period in 2023; of which Vietnam's export turnover to South Korea reached 10.2 billion USD, an increase of 10.9%, accounting for 6.5% of Vietnam's total export turnover./.
