On January 21, a snake mascot drawn on a school chalkboard by a teacher in Phu Yen province was shared on social media and received many compliments.
The owner of the Lunar New Year mascot 2025 is Ms. Vu Mac Khue Tram, an art teacher at Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province).

It is known that Ms. Tram is also the owner of the dragon mascot drawn on the chalkboard that caused a fever in the online community in the year of the Dragon 2024.
Sharing with VietNamNet , Ms. Tram said that the snake mascot was drawn on a chalkboard in the council room of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School. This work took about 2 days from idea to completion.
“I had the idea of the mascot and the accompanying details in my head. I took advantage of my free time after classes to draw, and it took me about 2 days to complete the work,” said Ms. Tram.

Talking about the idea of the snake mascot, Ms. Tram said that most people often draw the cobra mascot as a bit fierce. From there, Ms. Tram thought of "stylizing" it to make this animal more approachable, less ferocious but still keeping the strong character of the mascot.
“Many teachers at Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School are also afraid of snakes, so they all want me to draw a gentle snake mascot for souvenir photos. A snake mascot like this will also be suitable for the educational environment,” Ms. Tram shared.
