Tomorrow, January 23 (December 24 of the lunar calendar), students of all levels in Ho Chi Minh City will officially have a break for the Lunar New Year 2025. A week before, on January 16, students of Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School , District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, together with teachers and school staff, wiped down tables and chairs, cleaned classrooms, school grounds, and streets outside the school to make them neat and clean.

In each classroom, homeroom teachers and students clean the entire classroom, including cabinets, boards, teachers' and students' desks and chairs... In addition, in the music room, English room, smart room, art room, computer room, library, STEM room, school yard, streets outside the school, school gate... administrators, teachers, staff, and students are assigned to participate in cleaning.

Students are on duty every day to avoid being dependent.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong, Principal of Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School, District 1, said that the school has developed a plan for general cleaning of classrooms and schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Accordingly, during this school year, students, teachers, and staff in the school will have two regular cleaning sessions. Before the Lunar New Year 2025 , the cleaning will be called "Civilized Spring". Before the students go on summer vacation, in May 2025, they will also participate in a cleaning session called "Hello Summer".

During the cleaning process, students are all provided with masks and gloves. The work is guaranteed to be absolutely safe and within the students’ capabilities.

In particular, not only regular cleaning, cleaning and maintaining hygiene in the classroom is a regular task of students, teachers and staff throughout the school year.

Homeroom teachers organize students to work in each class and in the classroom hallway. Students are guided by teachers to arrange their school bags and school supplies neatly and tidily. Students of Dinh Tien Hoang Primary School also take turns to be on duty every day with tasks such as sweeping the classroom, wiping the board, doors, cabinets, washing the board cleaning cloth, watering and taking care of plants, picking up trash in the school yard after recess...

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong said that through these activities, the school wants to raise awareness, consciousness, role and responsibility for school hygiene for staff, teachers, workers and students. Through that, students are educated to be aware of maintaining environmental hygiene, contributing to making the school, classroom and community environment civilized, clean and beautiful, reducing pollution.

Before the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday for students with their families, the principal also sent a message to the students about the spirit of loving work, awareness of keeping the environment clean, and protecting the common landscape.

From then on, during the Tet holidays with grandparents and parents, students should know how to share housework with their parents, help their parents clean the house, decorate the space for Tet, help relatives with tasks within their capacity in the kitchen, make cakes , pick vegetables... By doing so, each Tet holiday will become a day for children to learn, develop many skills and have many valuable experiences.
