Three cars that once served President Ho Chi Minh are recognized as National Treasures.

The President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace will hold a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision to recognize three cars that served President Ho Chi Minh during his lifetime as National Treasures.

Three cars that served President Ho Chi Minh when he was alive are original artifacts that are being preserved, displayed, and promoted at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.

During the American imperialists' war of destruction in the North in 1964-1965, the car was a permanent air defense vehicle serving President Ho Chi Minh. The total number of kilometers the car had traveled was 15,788km.

Pobeda car, registration plate HN 158

Vehicle size: Length 4m45; Width 1m44; Height 1m64; Weight: 1900kg; gray color.

The car was presented to the Vietnamese Government by the Soviet Government in 1955 and served President Ho Chi Minh from March 1957 until the end of August 1969.

The Pobeda car was used most often by President Ho Chi Minh during the time he lived and worked at the Presidential Palace.

This type of car has a high chassis, suitable for long-distance travel, so it is often used for trips to visit localities far from Hanoi. The car has run 39,436km.

Peugeot 404 car, registration plate HNC 232

Vehicle size: Length 4m25; Width 1m40; Height 1m40; Weight: 2300kg, silver gray.

The car was brought back by overseas Vietnamese living in New Caledonia and Vanuatu (former names of the archipelagos, in Oceania) as a gift to the Government and President Ho Chi Minh on the 11th Castern Queen ship, arriving in Hai Phong on March 8, 1964.

The car was used to serve President Ho Chi Minh from 1964-1969. In 1967, when President Ho Chi Minh's health was not good, he often used a Peugeot 404 because the car's low chassis made it easier for him to get in and out of the car. The total kilometers the car had traveled was 16,575km.

The three cars above were officially recognized as national treasures according to Decision No. 1712/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2024 of the Prime Minister.

This event marks a special milestone, for the first time after 55 years of preserving and promoting the heritage value left by President Ho Chi Minh, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace is honored to have an artifact recognized as a National Treasure.
