Reversing aging is impossible, but British scientist Andrew Steele claims in a report that by developing some good habits, you can slow down the aging process of your body and help you look younger.
Dental care
Oral hygiene may seem unrelated to aging, but according to Andrew, if not done effectively, it can promote chronic inflammation.
Not brushing your teeth before going to bed and after waking up not only endangers your oral health and causes bad breath, but also causes plaque to accumulate on your teeth and gums, leading to chronic gingivitis over time.
The American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes each time, using fluoride toothpaste and dental floss to clean between teeth, helping to maintain oral health and reduce inflammation.
Daily exercise
A 2013 Harvard University study found that just 15 minutes of exercise a day can extend life expectancy by an average of three years.
Another study found that people who exercise regularly have longer telomeres, the ends of chromosomes, than those who are sedentary. DNA repeat sequences get shorter as you age.
People who exercise five days a week for more than 30 minutes at a time have telomeres that are about nine years younger than those who sit for long periods of time.
Get enough sleep
During sleep, the brain eliminates toxins, damaged cells are restored, and energy is regenerated. People who lack sleep tend to have many health problems as well as age faster.
However, you should not sleep too much. The ideal amount of sleep is about 7-8 hours, not more than 11 hours, and you should focus on improving the quality of your sleep.
Eat less sweet
The more sugar you consume, the faster you age because it destroys collagen and elastin, causing your skin to wrinkle and sag. Eating too much sugar also increases inflammation in the body.
Consuming a lot of these food groups causes high blood sugar levels, which in the long run will increase damage to blood vessels, creating a large amount of free radicals.
When free radicals appear, they act on the lipid layer of cell membranes, accelerating skin aging due to oxidative damage.
