"Israeli forces attacked the town of Aqaba, surrounded a house and clashed with youths, after which Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition," the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, adding that two of the wounded were in critical condition.

A Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman said the dead included a 36-year-old man, two 19-year-old men and a 14-year-old boy.
"(Israeli) army special units initially attacked the town and surrounded a house, then military vehicles of the occupation forces arrived," WAFA quoted locals as saying.
Violence in the West Bank has been escalating in line with the broader Middle East conflict in Gaza. Four Palestinians, including a Hamas commander, were killed this weekend when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle near the northern city of Tulkarm.
According to the Palestinian Authority, since October 7 last year, at least nearly 600 Palestinians have been killed in violence with settlers or the Israeli military in the West Bank.
At least 16 Israelis, including soldiers, have been killed in Palestinian-related attacks in the territory, according to official Israeli figures.
