Donating 120 bicycles to poor students in Tan Son district

On April 14, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the Central Social Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Buddhists of Hung Ky Pagoda, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi to organize the program "Giving bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties" in Tan Son District.

Delegates presented the symbol of donating 120 bicycles to Tan Son district.

At the program, the leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Most Venerable Thich Minh Nghiem - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Social Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, along with nuns and Buddhists of Hung Ky Pagoda, presented 120 bicycles, worth 240 million VND to poor students who have overcome difficulties in Van Luong and Long Coc communes.

This is a meaningful gift that helps children have convenient means of transportation to school; at the same time, it encourages and motivates them to strive to overcome difficulties, achieve high academic results, and become useful citizens for their families and society.
