- According to regulations, students applying for admission to public high schools must complete one application form; this form is also used as an exam card to check candidates entering the exam room. In addition to the application for admission to grade 10 at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Nha Trang City), students can apply for 2 options in order of priority 1 and 2 to grade 10 at non-specialized high schools according to the enrollment area.

- Could you please tell me specifically about the time frames for registering your wishes?

- Students have 2 times to register their wishes. Currently, they are completing the first registration form, which will be completed until April 19. Students who do not register their wishes the first time are understood to have no need to apply for grade 10 at public high schools, including Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. From April 20 to April 26, high schools with grade 9 students will complete the first registration form entry into the grade 10 enrollment management software.

According to the enrollment plan, on April 28, high schools will announce the number of students registering for the first time on the school's bulletin board and website. On that basis, from April 28 to May 3, students will register their second wishes, and can change or not change their wishes compared to the first time. This is considered the student's official wish. After May 3, students cannot change their registered wishes. From May 5 to May 10, high schools with 9th grade students will complete the updating, inputting additional information and students' second registration wishes into the enrollment management software 10.

For cases of direct admission to grade 10, high schools with grade 9 students must compile their direct admission records and send them to the Department of Education and Training before April 26. The Department of Education and Training will review the direct admission records and send the results to the schools before May 10 to update the entrance exam management software before numbering the registration and dividing the exam rooms.

- Do you have any notes for students in registering their wishes?

- Students are required to register their wishes in the second registration section, because this is the official registration. If there is no need to change their wishes compared to the first time, students can register in 1 of 2 ways: Write "No" in the content of the second registration; or register the wishes in the second registration that are the same as the wishes registered in the first time.

If you only register for the first choice and do not want to register for the second choice, you can write in one of two ways: Write “No” in the second choice registration content; or write the second choice information that is the same as the first choice, absolutely do not leave it blank. Schools and teachers are not allowed to write the choice on behalf of students; students must write it themselves.

The Department of Education and Training has requested the Departments of Education and Training to request schools to disseminate and guide students to register for grade 10 admission according to regulations and consider choosing the right choice for their abilities. To ensure the accuracy of the records and data entered into the grade 10 admission management software, minimizing errors that affect the rights of students; at each stage of making records, schools must organize to check the accuracy of data and records, have minutes recording the incident and implementation results.

- To provide more reference information for students when choosing their wishes, can you tell us the enrollment quota for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year? If necessary, when will the list of schools that will switch from entrance exams to admissions be announced?

- The total number of junior high school graduates in the 2024-2025 school year is expected to decrease by about 4,500 students compared to the previous year, the admission rate to grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year is 70% compared to the number of graduates, an increase of 10%. Although the rate has increased, the total quota for schools has decreased by about 1,100 students. When the Department of Education and Training allocated the quota to schools, some schools remained the same as last year, some schools reduced by 1 to 2 classes. The total quota for 27 public high schools (non-specialized) is 10,245 students in 231 classes.

In case of switching from entrance exam to admission review for schools with the number of candidates registering for admission (including first and second choices) less than or equal to the quota, the list of these schools will be announced before May 12.
