Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association Nguyen Bao Lam delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech, Journalist Nguyen Bao Lam, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, affirmed: Over the past 100 years of formation and development, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has always accompanied the nation, effectively served the revolutionary cause, and made worthy contributions to the glorious victories of the country. In Thai Nguyen - the capital of the resistance war, on April 4, 1949, the first journalism training facility in the resistance war against France - Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, opened its first course in Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district.

On April 21, 1950, the Association of Vietnamese Journalists (the predecessor of the Vietnam Journalists Association) was established in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district. With its glorious tradition, the Thai Nguyen Journalists Association today continues to innovate its content and methods of operation, improve the quality of association activities, arouse the spirit of initiative, creativity and social responsibility of journalists, towards a humane, modern and professional journalism.

In a warm atmosphere, outstanding journalists, representing generations of Thai Nguyen journalists (Journalist Phan Huu Minh, former Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, former Director of Radio - Television Station, former Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, former Head of the Inspection Committee of Vietnam Journalists Association; Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Son, Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association; Journalist Dang Van Nghinh, News Department, Thai Nguyen Provincial Radio - Television Station) and Journalist Do Doan Hoang, Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper/Nong Thon Ngay Nay, together reviewed the tradition, shared special professional stories behind the articles that readers could never forget; professional imprints and also challenges and opportunities for journalism. At the same time, spread the spirit, responsibility and love for the profession of journalists in the new era - the era of digital transformation, innovation, integration and the era of national development.
