The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line is 12.5 km long with a total investment of VND 34,826 billion from ODA capital. Of which, the elevated section (Nhon - Cau Giay) is 8.5 km long and the underground section (Cau Giay - Hanoi Railway Station) is 4 km long. The project started in 2009, with a planned completion date of 2015, but after many delays, the new completion date for the entire line is 2027, with the elevated section expected to be commercially operational in early August 2024.

This morning, August 7, reporters from press agencies experienced the 8.5 km long elevated journey from Nhon station to Cau Giay station.

At stations, passengers can buy tickets directly from staff or automatic ticket machines.

Similar to the Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway, when arriving at the station, passengers buy tickets, to board the train passengers use plastic cards or coins. Each train ticket can only be swiped once when the door opens.

To get to the station, passengers can go up by stairs, escalators and especially there is an elevator reserved for the disabled.

The stations are also equipped with 3 types of trash bins: organic waste, recyclable waste and inorganic waste.

The waiting areas at the stations are fully equipped with train information boards.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Son - Deputy Head of Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that up to now, the entire elevated section from Nhon station to Cau Giay station, 8.5 km long, has completed construction, installation and trial operation. The acceptance work has also been completed. However, we are still waiting for the official document on the commercial operation date from Hanoi People's Committee. We hope to operate in early August."

According to Dan Viet, the interior of the train is mainly designed in light gray, with red handrails for passengers standing on the carriage.

Train passengers can admire the scenery along the route from Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Xuan Thuy and Cau Giay.

Every day, the Nhon - Hanoi train runs from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a frequency of 10 minutes per trip at all elevated stations.

Also this morning, the cleaning work was completed.

It is known that the Nhon - Hanoi railway line operates 10 trains continuously on the standard gauge railway of 1,435mm, using seamless welding technology to ensure high train speed, noise and vibration resistance and installation of anti-derailment equipment. Each train has 4 cars manufactured by Alstom (France), using distributed power with the engine placed under the train, running on 750V DC electricity supplied on the third rail to ensure safety, stability and urban aesthetics, according to world safety standards.
