President Putin hopes to welcome General Secretary and President To Lam to visit Russia

On August 8, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary and President To Lam had a phone call with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

After sending a congratulatory letter, Russian President Putin proposed a phone call to directly congratulate General Secretary and President To Lam on being elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

President Putin wished General Secretary and President To Lam many successes in his noble position. He also expressed his belief that General Secretary and President To Lam will lead the Party, State and people of Vietnam to further success in the cause of Party building and national development.

During the phone call, General Secretary and President To Lam sincerely thanked President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the Russian Federation for sending letters of condolence and sending a delegation to attend the State funeral of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

This strongly and deeply demonstrates the high level of relations between the two countries and the special affection of President Vladimir Putin and Russian leaders for the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Party, State and people of Vietnam.

General Secretary and President To Lam also thanked President Vladimir Putin for sending a letter and phone call to congratulate him on his election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Affirming that Vietnam is determined to implement its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that Vietnam continues to attach importance to consolidating and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, always identifying the relationship with the Russian Federation as having strategic importance and one of the top priorities in its foreign policy.

The head of the Vietnamese Party and State expressed his belief that the relationship between the two countries will increasingly develop, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries and contributing to peace and development in the region and the world.

The two leaders also agreed that the Vietnam-Russia cooperation relationship has developed very well and achieved many important results in all fields, especially defense, security, energy, oil and gas, trade...
