With the theme "Circle of Friends", the festival welcomed 196 children from three countries Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and 37 leaders.

Experience in the city named after Uncle Ho

According to Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the festival is one of the events celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos and the 57th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia.

During the three days of the festival, the children visited the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Uncle Ho's Space for children, and participated in experiential activities in Can Gio district.

On the evening of August 13, a sudden rain came while the delegates were touring the city by double-decker bus, but the delegates were still very excited and full of energy despite having gone through many activities in the afternoon.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai said that despite the geographical distance, solidarity and friendship will bring you closer together through this festival.

This is also an opportunity to help children better understand the special traditional friendship between the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia.

From then on, each child will have the responsibility to preserve the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the three countries.

Let's keep the solidarity

Present at the festival, Huynh Tran Bao Anh (8th grade student of Lam Son Secondary School, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City) said that he will join the young delegates in solidarity, friendship and actively participate in the activities with the best spirit.

Bao Anh hopes that the festival will leave many beautiful memories for each of you, and at the same time continue to foster and strengthen the friendly relationship between the three countries.

"We will become ambassadors of friendship and special solidarity between the three countries," Bao Anh shared.

The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union reminded children to take care of their health and actively participate in the festival's activities.

So that each of you can feel a meaningful and safe festival, with memorable experiences in Ho Chi Minh City.

Children's fun playground

Delegates attending the 2024 festival come from the two provinces of Svay Rieng and Prey Veng (Kingdom of Cambodia), the capital Vientiane, and the two provinces of Champasak and Attapeu (Lao People's Democratic Republic).

In Vietnam, in addition to 85 children from Ho Chi Minh City, there are also representatives of children from several provinces bordering the two neighboring countries: Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Kien Giang and Dong Thap.

This festival has become a fun and useful playground for exchange. Through it, it introduces the history, cultural beauty and traditions of the three countries to children.
