Every autumn, the terraced fields of ethnic minorities in Mu Cang Chai bustle to welcome a new season, the season of ripe rice. These masterpieces of cultural heritage have woven golden seasons in the highlands. Waves of rice stretch out endlessly. The terraced fields in the highlands are always a tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Every year, around the end of August and the beginning of September of the lunar calendar, when the weather is cold, the sunlight shines down on the ripe rice fields in Mu Cang Chai, signaling a bumper harvest season.

On the terraced fields, there are occasionally small houses for the Mong people to cultivate rice, or warehouses for the Red Dao people to store rice... adding beauty to the terraced fields on the mountainside, creating a vivid autumn picture. After the watering season and the planting season, the rice ripening season is eagerly awaited by many photographers to take pictures. Even though there are many people who, every year when the rice harvest season comes, carry their backpacks and cameras to Lao Cai, they still do not get bored.
