According to the report "Vietnam Provincial Tourism Development Index VTDI 2024" recently issued by the Government, Quang Ninh province ranked 5th out of 30 provinces and cities selected for survey and evaluation of this Index, with a score of 4.51/7.

The assessment results are based on 17 pillars and 111 indicators collected from tourism business surveys and other quantitative data sources.

The index groups and pillars include: Facilitative environment index group (business environment, safety and security, health and hygiene, human resources and labor market, IT and communication readiness); tourism policy and conditions index group (tourism priority, data collection and sharing, price competitiveness); infrastructure and service index group (aviation, ground and port); tourism resource index group (nature, culture...); tourism sustainability index group (environment and energy, socio-economic impact, tourism demand).

This is a testament to the province’s continuous efforts in investing in tourism infrastructure; innovating and diversifying products; promoting destination images; promoting linkages and attracting tourism investment…

The 2024 Provincial Tourism Development Index is the result of research by the Private Economic Development Research Board and the Prime Minister's Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform, conducted to meet the goal of supporting tourism development and strategic planning at both provincial and national levels.
