On April 15, the Food Safety Department sent a document to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information; the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture and Information) regarding coordination in managing food advertising.
Accordingly, the Food Safety Department received reports from the press that some celebrities and influencers on social networks were advertising foods and functional foods that showed signs of violating regulations on food advertising, especially misleading advertisements of products with medicinal uses, and misleading advertisements about product quality and uses.

In order for the law to be strictly enforced and to promptly prevent the over-advertising of food products, the Food Safety Department requests the above units to coordinate in checking information, handling illegal advertising on social networking sites and handling celebrities who advertise in violation and notify the results to the Food Safety Department for synthesis.
According to reports, recently, on some websites, editor QM, actor VH, and People's Artist HV participated in advertising milk, food, and functional foods, showing signs of violating regulations on food advertising.
