Promoting spatial models serving lifelong learning

Reporting at the meeting, the representative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: After 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 49, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has focused on directing and guiding the implementation of continuing to innovate lifelong learning activities; consolidating infrastructure, network of libraries, museums, cultural centers; enhancing the application of technology, information and digital transformation, modernizing the organization of activities and services for lifelong learning suitable for each region, area and locality to improve self-study capacity, contributing to improving people's knowledge, building a learning society in Vietnam.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also directed and guided localities to promote book circulation, mobile services, mobile propaganda, mobile exhibitions... to the grassroots with the goal of building cultural beauty, cultural environment, contributing to improving community knowledge and building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity.

The work of promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society is promoted in libraries, museums, and cultural centers with many diverse forms, promoting strengths and characteristics to achieve effectiveness.

The library network continues to be maintained and strengthened, and social activities are promoted. Every year, indicators and indicators on the development of reading culture increase by an average of 10% or more, the number of readers' cards at public libraries increases annually by 8% to 10%, the total number of readers visiting the library increases by 20 to 30%, and the total number of books and newspapers circulating at public libraries increases by 25 to 30%.

Up to now, Vietnam Museum has developed into a system with 197 archive museums. The museums have developed an organization plan to integrate the contents of building a learning society, promote lifelong learning activities at museums, and focus on improving educational effectiveness.

Regarding the development and improvement of human resources, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has integrated into the conferences the implementation of contents related to the law on education and training for training institutions under the Ministry, coordinated with units in the effective use of out-of-school educational institutions, cultural institutions at the grassroots level in the direction of focusing on learning activities, meeting the learning needs of all people in the area.

At the working session, members of the working group discussed, expressed opinions, proposed and recommended issues related to coordination between ministries, departments and branches in the implementation of Conclusion 49 ; statistical data; content, models, good practices; management, use, investment, upgrading of institutions; implementation costs; personnel treatment regime; projects , training, international exchanges, etc.

At the end of the working session, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy acknowledged and accepted the opinions noted by the members of the interdisciplinary working group. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will complete the data, report specifically, in detail, clarify the issues and develop key activities and tasks in the coming time.
