Promoting the proactive role of the teaching staff of National Defense and Security Education

On August 9, Major General Tran Ngoc Thanh - Director of the Department of National Defense and Security Education, Ministry of Education and Training said that 428 managers, teachers, and lecturers of National Defense and Security Education from 32 Departments of Education and Training, 17 National Defense and Security Education Centers, and 29 autonomous higher education institutions in the Southern region have just completed the 2024 professional training and development course.

Accordingly, in order to promote the proactive and active role of the teaching staff of National Defense and Security Education in schools, the Ministry of Education and Training has deployed and developed basic topics, including:

Introducing some basic contents of Resolution 44-NQ/TW on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation".

Information security on illegal acts in cyberspace among students.

Organization and method through lectures and practice teaching the lessons: Each person in offensive combat; Applying basic postures and movements when moving in combat; AK submachine gun shooting techniques; Building a national defense and people's security to protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

According to Major General Tran Ngoc Thanh, at the end of the training course, all trainees wrote a report on the content of Resolution 44-NQ/TW and tested live ammunition shooting with AK submachine guns.

"The coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Signal Corps, military and police agencies and schools is very close and in accordance with regulations. The process of organizing the live-fire test ensures absolute safety for people and equipment," Major General Tran Ngoc Thanh informed.

The results of the blocks, specifically: Department of Education and Training has 55% achieving good and excellent results. Center for National Defense and Security Education has 70% achieving good and excellent results. Autonomous educational institutions in National Defense and Security Education have 63% achieving good and excellent results.

From the inspection results, the Ministry of Education and Training frankly admitted that the live-fire results of many groups were not high. Some cadres and teachers did not fully comply with the regulations of the Organizing Committee.

From there, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that, based on the acquisition of new knowledge and information from the training course, the teaching staff of National Defense and Security Education proactively advise the leaders and commanders of the unit to seriously implement the viewpoints and policies of the Party and State on National Defense and Security Education. Effectively implement the Law on National Defense and Security Education.

Regularly pay attention to, organize, manage, teach and learn subjects according to regulations, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
