At 7:00 a.m. on January 2, a fishing boat without a registration number owned by Mr. Mai Van Truyen and his wife, Mrs. Ho Thi Hong Anh, in Hai Dong village, Phong Hai ward, Phong Dien town, Hue city, was fishing 200m east of Radar Station 3511, Regiment 351, Naval Region 3 when it was suddenly sunk by a large wave.
Immediately after receiving the request for emergency assistance, with the approval of superiors, radar station 3511 mobilized more than 10 officers and soldiers along with personal life jackets, stretchers, and medical supplies to quickly move to the scene to coordinate with local forces to rescue the fishing boat and fishermen in distress to shore.

After more than 2 hours of struggling with big waves, with a sense of urgency and great effort, by 9:15 a.m. the same day, officers and soldiers had successfully rescued the fishing boat and fishermen to shore, ensuring safety. Currently, the health of the two fishermen is stable.
