On February 24, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, a working delegation of the Navy led by Rear Admiral Tran Ngoc Quyet, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, inspected the preparation for training in 2025 at the Naval Region 5 Command. The delegation included Colonel Le Van Huong, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Navy, and representatives of the Navy's functional agencies.
The delegation inspected all aspects of staff, political, logistics and technical work. The focus was on the system of documents, plans, schedules, books, lesson plans, training statistics; awareness of officers and soldiers about the tasks; forces and means on combat readiness; logistics and technical assurance work, building discipline and discipline management at the unit...
The inspection showed that the Naval Region 5 Command has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the directives and resolutions of the superiors on training work in 2025. Notably, the unit has done a good job of educating and raising awareness and responsibility for officers and soldiers in performing their tasks. Organizing training and fostering at the beginning of the year for the training staff with the right composition, content and time according to regulations. The system of documents, lesson plans and lectures for all branches is regular and unified. Facilities, training grounds, training grounds and all aspects of logistics and technical support work are effectively deployed.

The region has promoted its internal strength well, actively consolidated and renewed the model of teaching aids and equipment serving training work. The system of signs, boards, ropes, shelves, places to eat, stay and work for regular soldiers is synchronous. The work of receiving new soldiers joining the army in 2025 from localities to the unit is carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring strictness, quality and safety. The officers and soldiers of the unit are united, confident in their work, ready to receive and complete well the assigned tasks.
Concluding the inspection, Rear Admiral Tran Ngoc Quyet acknowledged and commended the results of the 2025 training preparation work of the Naval Region 5 Command and noted that the Region needs to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement military and defense tasks. In particular, focusing on doing a good job of preparing and organizing the 2025 training launch ceremony and training plans for the subjects closely, seriously, and qualitatively, achieving the set goals and requirements.
The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy requested the Region to strengthen training on plans to protect agencies and units; closely combine training with political education, building discipline, managing discipline and ensuring safety; organize patrols, observe and grasp the situation in the air, at sea, and in the stationed area, promptly report, and handle situations accurately and effectively, avoiding being passive or surprised, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
