Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee congratulates the New Year in the Kingdom of Cambodia

Wishing the Royal Cambodian Army Command a Happy New Year, Party Central Committee member and Kien Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai said that Vietnam and Cambodia are two nations with a long-standing tradition of solidarity and close ties. During the war, the people of the two countries fought side by side against the common enemy, liberated the nation, and brought peace to the two countries. In times of peace, the two nations continue to inherit and promote that precious tradition, strengthen cooperation, and support each other for mutual development.

The Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee expressed his joy at returning to Cambodia this time and witnessing the remarkable development of the neighboring country. On this occasion, Comrade Nguyen Tien Hai informed about the situation in Vietnam with outstanding progress under the leadership of the Party in recent times. Currently, Vietnam is expanding diplomatic relations with many countries in the world, creating opportunities for comprehensive development, entering a new era with strong determination for innovation.

He said that Vietnam is carrying out extensive reforms in streamlining the organizational apparatus, reducing focal points, and improving operational effectiveness and efficiency. The Party and State of Vietnam aim for an economic growth rate of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the next 5 years.

Kien Giang province, with its border with Cambodia, has always promoted the tradition of solidarity and friendship, implementing many activities of close cooperation with Cambodian localities bordering the border. During holidays, Tet and important events in Cambodia, Kien Giang province always organizes delegations to visit, encourage, and contribute to consolidating and developing the good friendship between the two countries.

Party Central Committee member and Kien Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized that the close relationship between the people on both sides of the border is a clear manifestation of the correct leadership of the two countries' Parties and States in building a peaceful, friendly and mutually developing border.

Wishing the Royal Cambodian Army's Military Region 3 Command a Happy New Year, comrade Nguyen Tien Hai expressed his joy at the positive development of Cambodia in recent times, and the continuous improvement of people's lives. Agencies, departments, branches and organizations of the two sides have always been close and supported each other in many aspects of work, contributing to strengthening the good relationship between the two peoples.

In particular, the close coordination between the units on duty on the border and the close relationship between the Vietnamese and Cambodian people have clearly demonstrated solidarity and sharing in both favorable and difficult times. This clearly demonstrates the effective leadership and direction from the two governments, creating conditions for the people and forces on duty on the border to strengthen solidarity, friendship and develop together.

On the occasion of the New Year, on behalf of the leaders of Kien Giang province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai wished the generals, officers, cadres and soldiers of the Army Command, Military Region 3 Command and the entire Royal Cambodian Army good health, continued to promote tradition, and achieved many new achievements; wished the Cambodian people a happy, warm, successful and prosperous New Year.

Speaking at the reception of the delegation from Kien Giang province who came to visit and wish them a happy new year, General Mao So-Phan - Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army and Commander of the Army Command expressed his joy and honor to welcome the delegation.

General Mao So-Phan sincerely thanked the Party, Government and People's Army of Vietnam for standing side by side with the Cambodian people to liberate the country and help Cambodia escape the genocidal regime. The General affirmed that the traditional friendly neighborly relationship between the two countries has always been maintained, helping and supporting each other to develop.

He also highly appreciated the achievements that Vietnam has made in recent times, and at the same time suggested that the military, border guards and police forces of Kien Giang province continue to closely coordinate with Cambodian forces to build two countries of peace, stability and development...

Lieutenant General Ui Hieng - Commander of Military Region 3, Royal Cambodian Army expressed his joy to welcome the delegation of Kien Giang province to visit and celebrate the traditional New Year of the Khmer people, demonstrating the long-standing friendship and brotherhood between the two nations. On behalf of the leaders, officers and soldiers of Military Region 3, Lieutenant General Ui Hieng expressed his sincere thanks to the delegation of Kien Giang province and congratulated the outstanding achievements that Kien Giang province has achieved in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, security, etc.

The Lieutenant General emphasized that the two nations have a tradition of solidarity and closeness, always standing side by side to overcome all difficulties. Military Region 3 will continue to closely coordinate with Military Region 9 and functional forces of Kien Giang province to ensure border security, support people on both sides to work and produce with peace of mind; at the same time, effectively carry out the work of searching, collecting and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia, contributing to fostering the increasingly deep friendship between the two countries.

* On the afternoon of April 2, the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai expressed his excitement to report that the political security, order and social safety situation in the border area between Kien Giang province and neighboring provinces of Cambodia is always stable, the economies of both sides are developing well, and the lives of the people of the two countries are increasingly improving.

He affirmed that this is the result of the close and effective coordination between the two countries in managing and protecting the border, and is also a testament to the correctness of the Party and State's policy on building a peaceful and friendly border.

Providing more information about the domestic situation, comrade Nguyen Tien Hai said that although Kien Giang province still faces many difficulties, the Party Committee and the provincial government have made great efforts and determination in implementing the socio-economic development tasks in 2024, achieving a growth rate of 7.5%. In 2025, the province is determined to fulfill the Government's target of 8%, while striving to achieve a higher target of 10%. Along with that, the fields of political security, culture, education, and health continue to develop stably; the poverty rate has decreased significantly...

With the characteristics of a province with a large sea area and a maritime border adjacent to Cambodia, in recent times, Kien Giang has carried out well foreign affairs and border management activities, regularly coordinating closely with the competent agencies of the neighboring country to maintain peace and stability in the maritime border area.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Hai wished all officers and staff of the embassy good health, happiness, and to overcome difficulties to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu gave an overview of some contents of the foreign affairs work of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia in recent times. He emphasized that the foreign affairs work of the Embassy has always been effectively implemented, contributing to consolidating and further strengthening the good friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia.
