(NADS) - On August 7, at the Vietnam Women's Museum (36 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi), the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition and the launch of the photo book "70 years of Dien Bien Phu victory - The heroic epic echoes forever" took place.
70 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory - The heroic epic echoes forever is the theme of the 21st photo exhibition and the 20th photo book by artist Nguyen A; associated with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in 5 continents, shaking the world".
The exhibition recreates the entire "majestic parade" celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory in Dien Bien city on May 7, 2024, with a solemn, heroic and proud atmosphere of the country.
Nearly 300 photos of training moments, parades, and marches of forces and sectors were displayed in the exhibition and photo book launch.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Nguyen A said that when carrying out this project, he could not avoid difficulties in capturing portraits of veterans and living witnesses of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Nguyen A shared that although he had worked on many important events, the pressure on him at the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory was quite great. Working alone, he had to manage everything but could not miss any activities, including those taking place at the same time, to spread the value and significance of the great victory that has gone down in history.
