(NADS) - On August 7th, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition and book launch of "70 Years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory - The Heroic Epic Resounds Forever" took place at the Vietnam Women's Museum (36 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi ).
"70 Years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory - An Everlasting Epic" is the theme of the 21st photo exhibition and the 20th photo book by photographer Nguyen A; it is closely associated with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, "renowned throughout the five continents and shaking the world".
The exhibition recreates the entire "magnificent parade" celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in Dien Bien Phu city on May 7, 2024, with its solemn, heroic, and proud atmosphere of the nation.
Nearly 300 photographs capturing training sessions, parades, and marches of various government agencies and forces were displayed at the exhibition and photo book launch.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Nguyen A said that while undertaking this project, he inevitably faced difficulties in capturing portraits of the veterans and surviving witnesses of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Nguyen A shared that, although he had previously covered many important events, the pressure on him at the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory was quite immense. Working alone, he had to manage everything himself but couldn't miss any activities, including those happening simultaneously, in order to spread the value and significance of this great victory that has gone down in history.
