"70 Years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory - The Heroic Epic Resounds Forever" is the theme of the 21st photo exhibition and the 20th photo book by photographer Nguyen A, closely associated with the 70th anniversary celebration of the Dien Bien Phu Victory held last May.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition.
Sharing the reason behind creating the book, photographer Nguyen A said: "Initially, this book wasn't part of my plan to publish books this year, but when I went to Dien Bien Phu during the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, I saw veterans, some over 90 years old, happily reuniting. I also saw many people from all over the country flocking there, as well as foreigners, to celebrate the anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The concern shown by the local people for the marching troops, expressed through bottles of water, pieces of cake, towels, and raincoats – all demonstrating the sincere affection and traditional Vietnamese spirit of mutual support and care – deeply moved me and motivated me to record those moments to create this book."

In just 11 days in Dien Bien Phu, photographer Nguyen A meticulously planned his time, not missing a single activity from historical sites such as Hill A1, the De Castries bunker, the Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Cemetery, the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum, and the General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial Area… At each location, Nguyen A not only took photos but also researched and meticulously prepared documentation for each photograph, introducing information, stories, and figures to help viewers better understand the history of Dien Bien Phu and the events of the commemoration.
"Through this photo book, I want to express my boundless gratitude and respect to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the nation, so that our generation and future generations can live in peace, work, study, and contribute to building a prosperous and strong Vietnam in the present and future..." photographer Nguyen A expressed.
