On the afternoon of April 14, Tuoi Tre Online reported that Van Hanh Mall was still operating normally. The area where the incident occurred has now been re-arranged with colorful umbrellas, becoming a resting space for visitors.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , a security guard at a booth said that after a series of unfortunate incidents, the center has increased the number of patrols in the building, especially on high floors such as the 6th and 7th floors.

Mr. Nguyen Trinh Quoc Binh - a salesman for a fashion and handbag brand in the center - said that immediately after the incident, the number of customers visiting the store decreased by about 30%.

According to Mr. Binh, in addition to consumer concerns, this is also a low season for the retail industry.

"Luckily, the boss understood, so even though revenue dropped, no one felt pressured. Everyone still encouraged each other to try to overcome this period," he said.

From a consumer perspective, Ms. Le Thi Linh Chi (24 years old, living in Go Vap district) said that Van Hanh Mall is a "favorite address" for her and her friends during holidays and Tet. "We often go to eat Korean fried chicken, drink milk tea and watch movies at CGV," Ms. Chi shared.

When she learned about the unfortunate incident, Chi said she felt more sorry than scared. "I feel sorry for the mall owner, the bread and butter of so many people. The dead are dead. We still and will continue to support Van Hanh Mall," Chi added.

On April 12, the official fanpage of Van Hanh Mall posted an article expressing deep sympathy for the victims, while affirming its commitment to accompany customers in all circumstances and tightening security.

In just a short time, the post attracted hundreds of thousands of interactions, shares and comments. Most of the comments expressed sympathy, sharing and encouragement for the center in difficult times.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , the representative of Van Hanh Mall could not hide his emotion at the strong affection and support from the community.

This person admitted that the series of consecutive incidents had a significant impact on the center's overall operations. After the first incident, the number of visitors showed signs of recovery, reaching about 80 - 90% compared to before. However, the second incident happened too suddenly, leaving a psychological shock not only to visitors but also to staff.

"Up to now, we are still sitting on hot coals, still trying our best to take more positive steps and actions in the future," he said.

Not only enhancing security, Van Hanh Mall representative said that they will implement many space reconstruction activities to enhance the shopping and entertainment experience for customers coming to the center.

Accordingly, the event hall area will be redesigned by the shopping mall to organize more community, entertainment and interactive activities.
