According to the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, the results of the implementation in 2023 and the first six months of 2024, with scientific research activities and the application of new technologies in production, have contributed to improving the productivity and quality of goods and services. In particular, the application of biotechnology in agricultural production has created a breakthrough in improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness of products. Many businesses, farms, cooperatives, and households have applied high technology to their production processes, creating many agricultural products with superior productivity, high added value, and food safety, meeting the consumption needs of the people of Hanoi and for export.

To date, the city has 393 high-tech agricultural production models. Of these, 224 are in crop production, 144 in livestock farming, and 25 in aquaculture. Hanoi also has 68 agricultural cooperatives applying high-tech agriculture.

It is known that in 2024, the city budget allocated 110 billion VND for the implementation of science and technology tasks. Of this, 69.124 billion VND was allocated to implement 130 ongoing science and technology tasks, and 40.876 billion VND was allocated to implement newly selected and directly assigned tasks in 2024.

In addition, Mr. Phong also requested the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park Management Board to coordinate with universities and colleges to promptly inform them about the development orientation of the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park so that the schools understand and can make specific proposals. This is especially important for student training and for coordinating support in training and improving the quality of teachers in the city.
