Exciting series of special art activities celebrating 50 years of national reunification

Welcoming the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) - a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, art units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been organizing a series of art programs spanning from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue to Lao Cai, along with many tours to serve people in the localities.

According to People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, this is a series of special art programs on the occasion of the great festival, aiming to spread patriotism and arouse national pride. In particular, many programs are staged with a new and creative approach, both deeply exploiting the endogenous strength of national culture and contributing to promoting the process of cultural industrialization, bringing art closer to the public.

A profound and emotional art festival

The above series of activities are implemented according to Plan No. 17-KH/BTGDVTW of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and Plan No. 690/KH-BVHTTDL of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to comprehensively summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification. This is also an opportunity to deeply evaluate the achievements in the fields of culture and arts, reflecting the country's remarkable progress in the process of innovation and international integration.

In addition to the political and social significance, the programs also aim to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, combining the promotion and dissemination of traditional art forms such as tuong, cheo, cai luong, folk songs, etc. to domestic and foreign tourists. This is also one of the important efforts to promote cultural tourism, strengthen the great national unity bloc, and contribute to the successful implementation of sustainable development in the new era.

This series of special political art programs, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Performing Arts, has the participation of 12 leading art units under the Ministry and the Department. Among them, there are thousands of artists and actors from units such as: Vietnam Drama Theater, Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, Vietnam Circus Federation, Vietnam Cheo Theater, Vietnam Puppetry Theater, Vietnam Cai Luong Theater, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB), Vietnam Contemporary Art Theater, Vietnam Tuong Theater... All of them participate in classic art works, recalling a heroic time of the nation, creating a profound and emotional art festival.
