Organizing a series of art performances to celebrate national reunification day

On April 14, the Department of Performing Arts shared with the press a series of performing arts events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Art units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a series of special art programs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification with hundreds of performances.

Sharing with the press, People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, said that more than 1,500 artists, actors, and musicians from 12 art units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will spread out to all provinces and cities to perform for the people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The special programs and plays were elaborately staged by the units, rich in art, and performed from April 18 to 30, such as: Vietnam Opera Theater brought the plays to the audience of Si Ma Cai district (Lao Cai); Vietnam Cheo Theater performed the plays "Quan Am Thi Kinh" and "Bac Le sacred temple" at Kim Ma Theater (Hanoi); Viet Bac Folk Music and Dance Theater brought the programs to perform for the audience in Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces; Vietnam Drama Theater performed the plays "Nguoi di sandal cao rubber" and "Dem trang" at No. 1 Trang Tien (Hanoi); Vietnam Puppet Theater performed for the people of Kien Giang province...

This is a grand launch of performing arts, thereby contributing to spreading unique cultural values ​​to the people and international tourists.

"Responding to the policy of 'internationalizing Vietnamese culture and Vietnamizing international culture, the performing arts industry is making efforts to create works with ideological value, rich in expression and entertainment to contribute to the development of Vietnam's cultural industry," said People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac.
