According to the General Statistics Office, the GRDP (gross regional product) of Hai Phong City in 2024 will reach 445,995 billion VND, ranking 5th in the top localities with the highest GRDP scale in the country.

Meanwhile, in 2024, Hai Duong's GRDP scale in 2024 reached 212,386 billion VND, ranking 11th in the country in terms of GRDP scale.

In terms of GDP per capita, in 2024, Hai Phong will be nearly twice as high as Hai Duong. Specifically, Hai Phong's GDP per capita is 8,665 USD/person, Hai Duong's is 4,456 USD/person.

Regarding the structure of Hai Phong's GRDP, the Industry and Construction sector accounts for the largest proportion of 53.08%, followed by Trade and Services at 38.52%, and Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries at 3.15%.

Meanwhile, in the structure of Hai Duong's GRDP, the Industry and Construction sector accounts for 56.7%, Trade and Services accounts for 26.3%, Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries accounts for 8.3% and taxes minus product subsidies account for 8.7%.

In terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, Hai Phong is always in the top localities attracting FDI capital in our country. In 2024, the city attracted 118,255.3 billion VND, equal to 120.86% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, equal to 110.77% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council.

Meanwhile, Hai Duong attracted 711 million USD in foreign investment capital, equal to 54.8% compared to 2023. Of which, investment certificates were granted to 68 new projects, with a total capital of about 431 million USD.
