Previously, as VietNamNet reported, on October 31, 2019, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province decided to approve the investment project for the road connecting Thanh Hoa city with Tho Xuan airport, about 11km long.

The construction site is in Trieu Son and Tho Xuan districts. The total investment of the project is more than 1,100 billion VND, with the Department of Transport as the investor, the project implementation period is no more than 5 years (from 2019-2023).

Currently, the entire route has stopped construction. The beginning and end of the route have been paved. Many sections do not have a flat surface so the roadbed has not been built yet.

Although the route has not yet taken shape, the 6 bridges along the route and many drainage culverts have been basically completed. Due to the long suspension of construction, many bridge abutments and reinforced beams have rusted and are overgrown with weeds.
