In July, the Interdisciplinary Working Group of Thua Thien Hue province inspected more than 600 Hue singing performances on the Huong River, and encouraged boat owners to install surveillance cameras in the performance area. The authorities strengthened traffic safety and urban order in the area of ​​Toa Kham Wharf and 3/2 Park. The Interdisciplinary Working Group requested the People's Committee of Hue city to direct relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and thoroughly handle the situation of touts, solicitation, and ticket sales in the wrong places, causing disorder and environmental damage in this area.

Through inspection, the Interdisciplinary Working Group discovered some limitations such as street vendors causing disorder, affecting the landscape and environmental hygiene on the walking street; some people rowing boats to sell fish to tourists. Businesses compete unfairly, some boats carry overloaded loads compared to regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue province, said: relevant agencies continue to inspect and strictly handle violations.

“The Department of Culture and Sports coordinates with the Department of Transport, the Department of Information and Communications to work with businesses organizing Hue singing performances and boat owners. We require businesses to strictly comply with the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee. Install cameras to monitor the performance area. Cameras will be installed on boats that serve Hue singing while they are in operation, while boats that have expired will stop operating on the river,” said Mr. Binh.
