The GEL-O&J Automobile Manufacturing Plant Project in Hung Phu Industrial Park, Tien Hai District of GEL-O&J Automobile Joint Stock Company has a total investment capital of 319 million USD, the expected land area is over ^381,000m2 ; production and assembly capacity is about 120,000 cars/year. The project implementation progress is divided into 2 phases, of which phase 1 is expected to come into operation from the fourth quarter of 2026, phase 2 will come into operation from the fourth quarter of 2029. The number of workers is expected to be over 1,000. The project is in line with the planning, the investment rate is about 8.37 million USD/ha, higher than the average investment rate of projects in current industrial parks. When the project is in stable operation, it will have a revenue of about 75,000 billion VND/year, expected to contribute to the state budget over 10,000 billion VND/year.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: The implementation of the GEL-O&J Automobile Manufacturing Plant Project is the concretization of the conditions for establishment, and is also the core project of Hung Phu Industrial Park. The site clearance work of Hung Phu Industrial Park was initially very difficult, but with the determination of the province's leadership and direction, the active support of the Central Government, and the active participation of Tien Hai District, up to now, the site clearance work has received high consensus and support from the people, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of projects here. The project has met the requirements of the orientation of high-tech industrial development and actively contributed to promoting the domestic automobile manufacturing industry. When the project comes into operation, it will contribute positively to the state budget, while creating job opportunities for many local workers. On that basis, the Provincial Party Standing Committee highly agreed with the policy of accepting the GEL-O&J Automobile Manufacturing Factory Project in Hung Phu Industrial Park, Tien Hai District.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to promptly complete the procedures and documents to grant the investment registration certificate for the GEL-O&J Automobile Factory Project of GEL-O&J Automobile Joint Stock Company, in order to facilitate the implementation of the project, while spreading and creating a favorable investment and business environment, attracting investors to Thai Binh province. He requested relevant departments, branches, units and localities to focus on urging investors to speed up the implementation progress, be ready to start the investment project to develop the infrastructure of Hung Phu Industrial Park, and break ground for the construction of the GEL-O&J Automobile Factory in conjunction with the commencement of the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project (CT.08). During the implementation process, investors must ensure full compliance with the provisions of law on environmental protection, fire prevention and fighting; Enterprises need to prioritize the use of local labor, and proactively arrange resources to implement projects to ensure progress and efficiency.
