Despite the positive results, Mr. Truong Van Cam - Vice President of Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association said: Currently, the world economy is having many fluctuations that will affect export industries, including the textile and garment industry.
According to Mr. Cam, especially the increase in technical barriers in Vietnam's textile and garment import markets and domestic enterprises' lack of information about these technical measures, such as: the US's Anti-Uyghur Forced Labor Act, the German Supply Chain Inspection Act, the EU's Supply Chain Inspection Directive...
Faced with the above difficulties, at the July 2024 Trade Promotion Conference of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a representative of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association requested that the Vietnam Trade Offices abroad, especially in areas that are major export markets of the industry, grasp information and provide early warnings so that domestic enterprises can take response measures.
